This privacy notice for EVELCON LTD (doing business as PensionCalc) ('PensionCalc', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), describes how and why we collect, store, use, and/or share ('process') your information when you use our website and tools ('Services'). EVELCON LTD is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What Information Do We Collect?

Calculator inputs. The amounts, ages, and other values you type into our calculators are processed locally in your browser to produce your results. They are not transmitted to our servers. Some calculators may save your inputs in your browser's local storage on your own device for convenience; you can clear this at any time via your browser.

Technical and usage data. Like most websites, we (and our providers) automatically collect certain technical information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, approximate location (country/region), and how you interact with the Services. This is used to operate, secure, and improve the site, and — where you consent — for analytics and advertising.

Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies needed to run the site, and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels). You can give or withdraw consent at any time through our cookie banner / settings, and you can manage cookies in your browser. Non-essential cookies are not set until you consent (in line with PECR and UK GDPR).

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies and related processing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services (balanced against your rights).
  • Contract — where you choose to make a voluntary support payment, to process that payment via Stripe.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain information to comply with the law.

How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the retention settings of the relevant provider (for example, Google Analytics). Calculator inputs saved in your browser's local storage remain on your device until you clear them. Where we no longer need information, we delete or anonymise it.

Your Privacy Rights

As a UK/EEA resident you have rights over your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.
